Well, here it is--our home in another day or two. Can you see why I'm so excited? Is it not the epitome of CUTE? Not to mention SPACE, glorious space inside and out.
The kitchen is so huge compared to what we've been used to. The cabinets are all really nice inside and are my favorite color--dark cherry wood. I can hardly wait to fill all those cupboards--no more dishes on bookshelves in my bedroom!!
These are the two upstairs bedrooms and also a view of the front room and front door. I love the little attic window nook in the boys' room.
The yard is lined on both sides with trees and there are sheds and a dogrun in the back that create a natural division from the houses behind us. And it's in the country on a culdesac so there's very little concern about the road in front.
I'm really glad we were able to find a place that would allow us to keep the swingset we were recently given. Also, the deck is an awesome bonus--so we still have a place for James's grill.
And you can see that there's a place for the table in the kitchen. These doors go to the downstairs bedroom (which will be an office/playroom), a bathroom, a pantry, and a large laundry room.
I honestly feel hugely blessed that we were able to find this place and that it felt right and that all the pieces fell into place for us to move there. Of course, we will be paying a lot more than we have been and it is farther from UGA, but in general I feel like it's a huge blessing from Heavenly Father. A blessing and an opportunity. Now all we need if for all of you who live far away to come on down to Georgia and visit us! You're always welcome!

Oh and by the way, the house is actually very bright and light and airy inside. The pictures I took just kept catching the bright light outside so it makes the walls look dark and dirty. The paint is new and the carpet is good, thank goodness. Nasty carpet can be a complete deal-breaker. :)
That is the cutest house ever. I am so happy for you. I just wish we were there to help you get settled in. Have "fun" moving. But it is more fun when you are going to a fun and great new home. Good luck to morrow. Who is going to watch the boys while you move? I'll fly right out there and take that job! Really we love the house and the yard is great.
Emily I love the house! It will be so nice for you to have more space, and a place for the boys to run. Your landlords were probably sad to see you go though!
Um, so i totally love your house! It is so cute. I am very jealous of the big yard, that is what our little boys need too. But, they ride their trikes a lot in the front, so at least they get out every now and then. But, yeah that house is perfect! I am so excited for you.
Nice to have you join the blog world. That looks like it will be a very comfy home for you guys. I am glad that you could upgrade so easily. I certainly know what it is like to live in a little place with dishes and food on bookshelves.
It's adorable! I can't wait to get into a house! And to have a yard is definitely a plus! way to go. James and I would love to come and visit you guys. But I have no idea when that could happen. Who knows where we will be and what we will be doing -- but it would be fun! Anyway I can't wait to see you guys! good luck with getting settled into your new house!
Emily and James, the house is adorable. I can imagine tons of fun game nights happening there. Only wish we could come :( Miss ya
